ROCKED AGE: IMAGES OF LOUD MUSIC CULTURE Upper Galleries, July 26 - October 26 Metropolitan Museum of Manila
One: I wanted to take a photo of Wawi Navarroza, but I didn't. Probably just wanted to make some of my Flickr friends who are in awe of her envious of me, or maybe because this is one of those rare moments I didn't shoot at least one pretty girl.
Two: Mr. Eddie Boy Escudero was in front of me, but I didn't introduce myself. Wasn't 100% it was him. Him and Mari were talking about his being with the Minolta camera system ever since, and being disappointed with how Sony is handling the camera line after the acquisition. I was just beside Mari, whom I met that night, the whole time. Sa susunod, sir!
Three: Got to see the 'super-artist' Poklong. See, he's a old friend from college, and an ex-bandmate (Gitaw 1463). I told him how I remember the Met Museum as the place we all went to back then to watch a European avant-garde music performance, and us being too late to catch the thing. He remembered having both Kaloy Olavides and Tado Jimenez IN THE TRUNK of the car on our way to the museum. Good times!
Four: Wam being obviously pissed off shitless with the Elemento bassist when he jammed with them.

Nahilig ako photography a few years AFTER college. Self-taught lang. Umpisa with toy cameras, tapos, proper film cameras (na vintage), tapos point and shoot digital, tapos DSLR. I won't say that's a progression list, pero yan ang pinagdaanan ko, and I still do, though, rarely, use my toycams.
Basta shoot lang ng shoot! And try to get into the discipline of the craft :)
hmm.. unga nabasa ko nga dun sa Photography page sa Flickr mo.. maybe, sometime.. pag free na ko sa malupit na mundo ng UP.. haha.. for now, pagpupuyat muna for midterms..

2 cameras lang naman ang meron ako ngaun, one is ung digicam ko na A300 model pa ng Fuji.. at ung napaka pangit na quality ng shots ng handy cam.. haha.. pero pareho ko na silang di nagagamit simula ng mauso cam phones..
hmm.. pag may enough money na siguro ko, makakabili na ko ng bago a better camera. hehe :)

Henyo ka dyan. Sagot ko: Canon G7 :p Not familiar anymore with point and shoots e, pero Canon is generally OK. Ang kelangan lang naman talaga, manual override ng automatic settings for a P&S, at good noise control. Most Canon's cover that.
Entry level DIGITAL SLR? Nikon D40, just because its cheap and its from a reputable brand. Do know that lens choices will be limited, since, AFAIK, no internal motor yan, so compatability with a select number of Nikon lenses will be limited, THOUGH, this just means that you have to do manual focus with them. In English, that means you will have to take control over your gear, instead of your gear taking control of you, which was they did in the olden days anyway :D

I have a 2+ year old Canon A85 that I still actively use when not in the mood lug a big camera.
The Fujifilm F20 and F30 point-and-shoot's are generally considered one of the best of its series due to its ISO sensitivity. In English, yakang yala ang low light nito and photos dont look like crap!
And don't get me starting with their professional S series. Ang lulupit nun.
Camphone shots are fine, pero once it gets printed, disappointing di ba? I should go back printing stuff myself, and not be concerned with jpegs to upload much.

Oh ok. Alala ko when I took Pol Sci 14.... all I remember now were my girl classmates. Thats was about the time I was a transitioning Engineering-to-Communication Research student, so having non-Engineering girl classmates was an event in itself. Haha.
